This card is for the Happily Ever Crafter blog. This challenge was "A Mother of a Challenge" where we had to make a Mother's Day Card without florals, pinks, purples, or mauves. I scratched my head and then this immediately popped in my head. The embossing was so messy. I tried 3 different times and that embossing powder clung hard to the pure poppy card stock. Thanks for looking!
Stamps: Happy Mother's Day (SillyLeAnn 2.0)
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, Vintage Cream (PTI)
Paper: Kraft, Pure Poppy (PTI)
Other: Hawaiian Shores Ribbon (PTI), Vintage Cream Felt (PTI), Scallop Border Die (PTI), White Fillagree Embossing Powder
Love your card and how you used different colored polka dots on the background. I did not notice the embossing powder speckles. It is annoying when that happens though.
ReplyDeleteLove those polka dots! Great card!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I've seen a more perfect bow! That ribbon definitely makes this card feminine and those dots are awesome! Thanks for participating in my challenge! :)

ReplyDeleteThis is great LeAnn! Love the different colored dots BG...why don't I ever think of clever ideas like that?!
ReplyDeleteM7aAke yourself an embossing buddy from talcum powder and a bit of muslin...it will help the embossing a lOT!
Adorable! Love the different color in the polka dots!

ReplyDeleteGreat card!!
ReplyDeleteOh nice card! That is a tricky challenge but you did great with it! Job well done!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and simple idea with tons of impact! Stampin Up sells an embossing buddy for relatively cheap, its the same thing as another commenter made, but less work if you want to go that route. I have it and it really does do its job! Wonderful creation!
ReplyDeleteLove the different colored dots, and the color of the bow is the perfect finish to this card! Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteLove these colors on kraft!
