I have to admit that I am a major lurker sometimes. I have a list of about 18 blogs that I read on an almost daily basis. I have only commented maybe a handful of times. I really try comment when I have a chance, but it seems that I am always in a rush.
So, in the name of goodwill, I am going to offer these fabulous new Michael's dollar stamps. I am sure that someone reads my blog that doesn't get a chance to comment. That's okay . . . lurk away. I hope that something I post offers you some kind of inspiration. If you want to win these stamps, post a comment telling me where I can get some unique embellishments. I only have a Hobby Lobby and Michael's to shop at (no AC Moore's, JoAnn's, ect.) The closest local scrapbook store is over 30 minutes away. I would like to find something that not many people can get locally here.
If you post, your name will go in a cup and I will pull out a winner. Here is what you could get:
Hey there...I found you...so that's saying something! Want some traffic? Come visit me if you have a chance! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHello! I love the Michael's clear stamps. What I've done to get cool embellishments is to do an embellishment swap with people from all over. That way you are for sure going to get stuff you've never seen. Thanks!

Oooh, find embellishments in non-craft store places. Olike colored stamples in dollar stores, large paper clips at office stores, tons of things at Target...dollar area and the office isle. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSign me up for the stamps...My Mike's done have any!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteGreat new blog! I'm glad I found you.
I buy lots of stuff online. There are some wonderful designers who host stores on ebay. Here are just a few:

http://stores.ebay.com/StarLitStudio

Thanks for the tip about the scrapcast, by the way. I'll have to check that out!
Great Stamps! My local Michael's hasn't had these in yet!
ReplyDeleteI too have done embellishment swaps, but I get most of my embellishments from Stampin' Up... The nearest craft store to me is over an hour away. Target sometimes has some really cute embellishments... I used to live near one of those.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to answer your question...duh! My local dollar store has a number of scrapping supplies (brads, eyelets, ribbon, etc.). Of course, you need to scrounge around and visit periodically but when you get lucky, what a find!
ReplyDeleteHi there, enjoyed your blog. I am sure you will get heaps of traffic once everyone knows it is there.
ReplyDeleteA greatplace to buy things cheap that you can alter and use in projects is second hand stores. I also find that the dollar stores are great for finding embellishments, note books as well as other unique items to alter. I have the same problem as you since my nearest LSS is 45 miles away and living in Ontario, Canada we only have a Michael's which is also 45 miles away. No spur of the moment shopping here. It has to be a planned event. lol
ReplyDeleteWell if you think you don't have any fun places to go buying then you should live in the UK!!!!!!! cause we have nothing and I would kill for a Michaels cause I am sooo loving those clear stamps, lucky you. But I have to agree with some of the other girls, go on SCS and join the Wish RAK group cause I have heard they are great, or you could always put a plea on your blog for somebody to swap some bits with you or like myself buy buy buy online, he hehe
ReplyDeleteSince we don't have any craft stores here in the arctic I recommend shopping off the internet. I've shopped at allthatscraps.com and the scrappers bunkhouse.

I just purchased a Cuttlebug alphabet die set, (which incldues numbers and some symbols) which I plan on using with some posterboard to make some embellishments. I guess what I am saying is to find ways of making your own embellishments. :D
ReplyDeleteokay, tried to post-did you get it at all? danged gmail had a brain fart I think.
ReplyDeleteI just realized I didn't say where to get cool stuff. I order a lot online.... one of my favourite places is www.franticstamper.com
ReplyDeleteI don't have shops in my area that are remotely convenient, so I do alot of shopping online. I agree with a previous post that Starlit Studio is great! They have beautiful ribbon and lots of neat stuff. I just bought some little hinges to use on my chipboard coasters. Great customer service as well.

I'm having such trouble getting my comments to go through, but I'll try again. Just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying your blog, and those are the cutest stamps! (ok, let's see if this goes through this time)
ReplyDeleteBest place is to win blog candy! ;) lol k, guess that can't really help you much. I would have to say online but where? haven't a clue. I would probably search SCS for a thread of online stores.
