Here is my card for Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary color challenge.  I was distraught when I saw the colors I had to use.  I don't have smokey shadow or scarlet jewel paper.  So, I improvised in the best way I knew how and was pleased with the results in the end.  Thanks for looking today!!

Stamps:  Giga Guide Lines (PTI), Background Basics: Hearts (PTI), Wishful Elegance (Verve)
Paper: Kraft, Stamper's Select White, Polka Basics (PTI)
Ink: Smokey Shadow, Scarlett Jewel

Other: Ribbon - Michael's Christmas Ribbon (from 3 or 4 years ago), Prima Flowers, Jewels - Dollar Tree

Resist . . .

I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's blog giveaway.  We are supposed to make a card using the resist technique.  However, I am embossing deficient.  Seriously!  I have tried all the tips, tricks, advice, brands, you name it.  I cannot heat emboss.  There, I said it.  But, I thought I would give it one more go around . . . to no avail.  So, with great hesitation (and to prove that I should NEVER heat emboss) I give you my creation.

Paper:  Stampers Select White and Spring Rain (PTI)
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics and Tiny Treats Valentine (PTI)
Ribbon: Offray
Ink: Lemon Tart, Spring Moss, Spring Rain, and Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Other: Copics

iPhone Wallpaper

How cool is this!!!  I love changing and updating my iPhone wallpaper periodically.  I just loved the simple designs.  I actually bought a set of like 10 wallpapers for $2 and change.  Perfect!!  You can get these at Peppermint Creative.  Thanks for looking today!

Valentine's Day is on the Way

I think I am going to keep this little ornament hanger out for the whole year.  I really do love to put small touches of the season around the house.  We'll see if it actually gets changed.  ;)

Christmas Tags

This year I am more determined than ever to have beautiful packages to give.  I think the excitement is higher when it looks like a delight and treat before you can ever peek inside a gift.  So, here are some tags that will be highlighting many of my gift wrappings this year.

Best Wishes

Most of my readers know that I have found a new special connection with Papertrey Ink stamps and products.  My love has grown rather quickly over the past 3 months.  :)  I love all the inks, papers, stamps, buttons, and even the ribbon (although in my opinion the ribbon is not their stonge point).  For today's share, I am showing off a number of PTI colors and a card that I made real quick and decided to revisit.  I was very excited how this turned out and I hope you enjoy today's share.

Sending You Blessings

This will be my last fall card of the year. This is extremely sad as fall is one of my favorite times of the year.

I used one of the dot papers to resize and adhere to the tree for a fun effect.  The sentiment was printed onto the paper.  Everything was then cut with my silhouette and put together.  These hybrid cards are so easy peasy!  I love and am adicted to making them.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #19

Well, I don't usually do challenges. But for some reason, I have fallen head over heels for a designer and card maker - Dawn McVey. I adore so much of what she does and am inspired by her work almost on a daily basis. I can always pop on to her blog and get some inspiration. So, I was compelled to join in her fun. :)

This was the challenge colors:

So here is what I came up with. Enjoy!

{ETA: I took the first picture with my iPhone, but I was not satisfied. So, we went to dinner and I retook a picture that I think looks a little better. Enjoy!}

Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You!!

It was my Father-in-Law's birthday this past weekend. Of course my share for the day is the card I made for him. I am just LOVING my Silhouette. I have not abandoned my Cricut. :) I have a Gypsy on its way to me as I type!!! EEEeeeek! But, I must say that I am really getting into using my Silhouette. There is a print and cut technique that BLOWS IT OUT of the water! In my opinion, if you are going to do any type of hybrid crafting, you must have this little machine. Anyway, I digress . . . I will post more on my little wonder that is my Silhouette at a later time. :) Until then, here is my share today.

Filled with Blessings

We are going to a Marriage Conference at our church this weekend.  Yeah!  My husband is off so I will most likely not be around AT ALL!  Today's share is a set of cards I made for our guest speakers at the conference.  The couple coming to talk is a husband and wife missionary team.  She is just adorable, so I wanted to make her something unique that she probably doesn't get everywhere.

It is November!!!!

It always amazes me how quickly time can fly sometimes. This year has been full of so many highs and lows. Nothing can bring a smile to my face like a cup of hot chocolate on a chilly autumn day!

Today I am going to share a friend card.  I love the color combo on this one.  And the sentiment "for a special friend" could be used for so many things.

Do you like the little duck?  You will find this little duck in several photos.  It has a history and a long story!

Happy BOO to you!

It is officially halloween. We don't celebrate halloween (gasp, roars from the crowd). My mom is a halloween fanatic. I was on the phone with her today and her halloween gag this year is a fake cockroach!!! Every year she does this kind of thing. So this roach is somehow on a string and you can make it jump toward people. She thinks it is sooooo funny to scare people with it. Oh the stories - just like a little kid!! :) I love it. I think it is this kind of thing that keeps one young.

My share today is a card that I made specifically for her. I cannot wait until she sees it. She will probably ask where the "scare" is though. :)
